John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado that specialized in folk pop music inspired millions of people. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., born Henry John Deutschendorf in Roswell located in the state of New Mexico,, fell in love with Colorado. He moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired numerous people to go to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame says that John Denver is unlike any other artist who embodies Colorado. Denver was the first Hall of Fame to be inducted into the hall. Denver is today Colorado's international image. When I travel, I always come across someone on the opposite side of the world one from New Zealand and you say 'I'm of Colorado and the first thing out of their mouth is"Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short period of performing with small folk music groups was Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff. Danoff had Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the tune, however Denver realized that it could be a huge hit after it was discovered that an earlier version.
